Then I got engaged and started planning a wedding.
I'm not a bridezilla in the traditional way. Things like catering and hiring a photographer seem to be broadly considered "important details", but I still can't bring myself to care about them yet. What I do care about, and way too much, are the little details I doubt anyone would ever notice. I've spent hours considering papers in various weights. Feeling out the textures, flipping them over in my hand, holding them up to the light to judge the fiber quality. Who does that!? Has anyone else ever come close to tears because they like the 220#/600 gsm cotton paper, but can only afford the 110#/300 gsm cotton paper? I came home the other day bummed about the post office's choice of stamps and shrieking, "Do you know how difficult it is to find warm, playful, but sophisticated stamps right now!? It's February! My choices are candies that say 'Be Mine' or depictions of slaves!"
Ugh, when did I give a crap about stamps? When did I become capable of distinguishing between a pink that has enough gray undertones and one that doesn't? I've become hyper-obsessed with the micro details yet Tom's best man could show up in a velour tracksuit and I wouldn't care. As long as it's the right shade of taupe. I mentioned to Tom that I thought it was only fair that he started planning the wedding because I want a break. He agreed to take over some wedding planning, but followed it up by asking me what size Storm Trooper costume I wear.

OMG I love you... AND I just got your 'save the date' and it was PERFECT! xo Mollie.. (i would care about paper weight too...)
